🦷 Post-Scaling Care Instructions
Dear Patient,
You have undergone scaling (professional cleaning) to remove plaque and tartar. To ensure comfort and best results, please follow these instructions:
✅ What to Expect
Mild sensitivity to hot or cold for 1–3 days is normal
Slight gum soreness or bleeding may occur initially
Teeth may feel cleaner and slightly loose (this is temporary)
🪥 Oral Care Instructions
Do not rinse, spit forcefully, or brush for 30 minutes after the procedure
Brush gently using a soft-bristled toothbrush
Use a desensitizing toothpaste if advised
Floss gently after 24 hours
🍽️ Food & Drinks
Avoid hot, cold, spicy, or hard foods for the next 2–3 hours
Avoid tea, coffee, to***co, smoking, and alcohol for 24 hours
Drink plenty of plain water
💊 Medications
Take prescribed medications or mouthwash exactly as advised
Do not self-medicate
🚫 Things to Avoid
Do not smoke or chew to***co
Avoid aggressive brushing
Avoid using toothpicks or sharp objects between teeth
📅 Follow-Up
Maintain regular oral hygiene at home
Visit us for routine check-ups every 6 months or as advised
Contact the clinic if pain, bleeding, or sensitivity persists beyond a few days
