Case #122 : Cosmetic rehabilitation of defective Enamel

An 11 year old girl reported to our clinic with a complaint of discolored tooth in the upper front region of the jaw since childhood. On clinical examination the entire incisal 3rd of the right central incisor has no enamel. Upon further enquiry, the parents informed that the tooth was in the same state since its eruption. The tooth was vital without any radiographic abnormalities. Immediate cosmetic rehabilitation of the defective surface was done with composites.

Case #121 : Immediate esthetic correction with Composite Veneers

A 28 year old patient reported to our clinic with a complaint of discolored upper front teeth. On clinical examination, both her upper central incisors were having very mild fluorosis discoloration along with mild incisal fracture.A minimal invasive approach was suggested to the patient, where a direct composite veneer could solve her problem permanently. As promised earlier, she got her problem solved in just an hour.

Case #120 : Some malocclusions need to be corrected as early as possible

An 8 year old girl reported to our clinic with a complaint of irregular eruption of permanent teeth in her upper front region of the jaw. On clinical examination both her upper central incisors were retroclined which resulted in an anterior cross-bite. The patient and her parents were informed about the necessity to correct the malalignment as early as possible. A removable orthodontic appliance (Posterior bite plane with anterior Z-springs) was given to the child. Z-springs were activated once every 2 weeks. The correction was achieved in 3 months and her smile looked much more beautiful.

Case #119 : Rehabilitation of lower discolored central incisors

A 32 year old patient reported to our clinic with a complaint of pain in the lower front region of the jaw. On clinical examination both the central incisors are discolored with severe tenderness. The patient gave a history of trauma to the lower incisors a couple of years ago. Radiographs reveal periapical abscess. A conventional root canal treatment was done for both the central incisors and ceramic crowns were given.

Case #118 : Management of fractured upper central incisor

A 22 year old patient reported to our clinic with a complaint of severe pain in his upper front tooth. On clinical examination the right upper central incisor was fractured with severe tender upon percussion. The patient gave a history of trauma to the same tooth 8 years ago. The radiograph of that tooth revealed the presence of periapical abscess. A conventional multi visit RCT was done followed by a Zirconia crown.

Case #117 : Management of dental trauma in a 12 year old

A 12 year old patient reported to our clinic with a complaint of trauma to her upper front tooth. On clinical examination the left upper central incisor got fractured at the cervical 3rd of the crown with pulp exposure. A conventional root canal treatment was done followed by post and core build up. A PMMA crown was given temporarily as the patient is just 12 years old and was advised to get it replaced with a permanent crown, once the patient reaches 16 years of age ( when the occlusion gets established).
