The emergency response team at Manubhai Patel Dental College, in coordination with Zydus hospital had organised a certified BLS programme for all faculties, BDS, and MDS students. All students and faculties had attended lecture and hands-on session on special BLS mannequins.

Our special thanks to course instructor Dr. Geetanjali Gupta Ma’m (Emergency department, Zydus Hospital), Chairman MPDC Prof. Dr. Rajendrasinh Rathod sir, Head of operations MPDC Dr. Yashraj Sinh Rathod Sir, Our Dean madam Prof. Dr. Sonali Kapoor ma’m and the entire administration for their immense support throughout the 2 day programme

MPDC Library Advisory Committee conducted, Art meets Academia : reimagining Dental Literature Date on 12th August 2026 As part of the National Library Day celebration, the Library Advisory Committee organized an innovative and creative competition titled “Art Meets Academia: Reimagining Dental Literature” on 12 August 2026.

The competition was designed to foster creativity, teamwork, imagination, and artistic expression by challenging students to redesign the cover of a renowned dental textbook. Participants were encouraged to blend art with academics and create a visually captivating book cover that reflected the theme and essence of the assigned textbook, allowing them to approach the book as if they were its authors. Each team was assigned a textbook according to their respective academic year.

Each team was provided with A4-size white sketching paper, while participants brought their own colouring materials. They were free to use different artistic mediums, including pencil sketching, coloured pencils, crayons, markers, paints, or mixed media. All team members were encouraged to actively participate in the creative process. The participants displayed remarkable creativity, originality, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Each team developed its own interpretation of the assigned textbook, incorporating appropriate illustrations, colours, lettering, and visual elements while maintaining relevance to the subject. The activity successfully transformed familiar academic literature into creative visual representations.

🇮🇳 Celebrating 80 Years of India’s Independence at MPDC! 🇮🇳

Manubhai Patel Dental College & Hospital proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day with the hoisting of the National Flag by our Chairman, Dr. Rajendrasinh Rathod Sir, in the esteemed presence of Dean Dr. Sonali Kapoor, Hospital Superintendent Dr. D. S. Kapuria, faculty, staff and students.

The celebration was made even more special by our talented Interns, 1st to 4th BDS, who, along with the Department of Orthodontics, presented a fabulous and energetic show celebrating the spirit of our nation.

A day of pride, patriotism, unity and celebration! 🇮🇳

Department of Conservative Dentistry - Dr. Ankit Arora, Professor at Manubhai Patel Dental College, was invited to deliver a lecture and conduct hands on workshop for students, interns, post graduate students of Geetanjili Dental Research Institute, Udaipur.

The lecture title was “Rubberdam masterclass: precision through isolation” with almost 100 attendees and more than 30 hands on participants.

The Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics successfully organized a Value-Added Workshop on "Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD)" for Undergraduate Interns and Postgraduate students in Orthodontics on 22nd and 23rd June 2026. The workshop was conducted by Professor Dr. Padmaja Sharma, an expert in the field of Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain.

The scientific sessions focused on the Basic Anatomy of the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), Clinical Assessment of Temporomandibular Disorders, and Evidence-based Management of TMD. The workshop also included comprehensive hands-on training in the clinical palpation of the TMJ, muscles of mastication, and myofascial trigger points of the orofacial musculature. The practical sessions emphasized a systematic approach to the examination of patients with temporomandibular disorders, enabling participants to accurately identify pain originating from the TMJ and associated musculature.

MPDC is happy to share Dr. Ankit Arora, Professor of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Manubhai Patel Dental College, delivered the keynote lecture at the 11th ISDT (Indian Society of Dental Traumatology) Symposium held at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, Vadodara, on July 10, 2026. The lecture, titled “Decoding the hidden realm: CBCT guided precision planning in traumatic dental injuries,” provided practical insights to an audience of over 200 delegates.
