Orthodontic treatment completed during the lock-down...this patient of ours started her treatment in March, just before the lock-down. She had to miss her next two monthly appointments because of the lock-down, but it did not hinder the speed of the treatment because of the premium self-ligating clear braces used. In case you are tired with your loose dentures or want a fixed set of teeth....it is possible with the help of implants. A dental implant is a titanium post (like a tooth root) that is surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath the gum line that allows us to mount replacement teeth or bridge into that area. An implant doesn't come loose like a denture can. Dental implants also benefit general oral health because they do not have to be anchored to other teeth, like bridges. Therefore, it is possible to have a fixed set of teeth even if you don't have a single tooth. In this case, the patient reported to us for the replacement of teeth in the lower jaw. Total 6 implants were done over which fixed prosthetic teeth were placed.

The magic of braces- Orthodontic treatment not only transforms the smile but the entire personality. This patient visited us a year back with severely protruding teeth. We started the treatment and gradually the result started showing in her monthly appointments. Finally, she got the smile she wanted. Slight swelling in the gums was there at the time of removal of braces because she did not maintain proper oral hygiene but that would subside in a month if she follows the instructions for oral hygiene maintenance.
