This patient’s dental journey is a prime example of why timely action in dental care is so essential.
As a long-time denture wearer, he was initially recommended All-on-4 dental implants three years ago. However, due to personal circumstances and fear of the implant procedure, he delayed the procedure, which allowed for significant bone loss over time. When he returned to us, the situation had progressed to the point where the standard All-on-4 approach for his upper jaw was no longer viable due to insufficient bone structure.
After thorough assessment, we performed a quad zygoma procedure, utilizing the advanced S.A.F.E (Secure Access For Every) Zygoma protocol, designed for cases of severe bone loss. This specialized technique involves anchoring implants into the zygomatic bone (cheekbone), offering a stable solution when conventional implants are not an option.
The rehabilitation of his lower jaw, however, was successfully completed using the All-on-4 method, and we were able to load the implants immediately, allowing him to regain function and aesthetics in a short time.
