Doing what you love is freedom.
Loving what you do is happiness.
Being acknowledged for your work is a blessing.
Learning while sharing is growth.
And being appreciated by like-minded professionals is truly rewarding.
I was fortunate to experience all of these at the National Geriatric Dentistry Conference held at Bharati Vidyapeeth (BVP), Pune.
It was an honour to be invited to deliver a guest lecture on “Oral Care for Homebound and Institutionalized Older Adults and People with Disabilities.” As a clinician dedicated to domiciliary geriatric dental care, I had the opportunity to share practical experiences, challenges, and lessons learned while caring for a population whose oral healthcare needs are often overlooked.
I am sincerely grateful to the organizing committee for this opportunity, and my seniors for their trust and encouragement.
The conference was an excellent platform to exchange ideas, learn from experts across the country, and strengthen our shared commitment to advancing geriatric oral healthcare.
As our population ages, ensuring accessible, equitable oral healthcare for homebound and institutionalized older adults is no longer optional. It is essential. I look forward to continuing this journey through clinical care, education, and advocacy.
Thank you, BVP Pune, for two inspiring days of learning, meaningful conversations, and professional collaboration.
