🦷 Some teeth are worth fighting for. ❤️
A childhood dental trauma.
A huge periapical lesion.
Severe bone loss.
Mobility.
And fractured upper front teeth — 11 & 21.
When this 21-year-old patient first walked into R K Dental Clinic, the prognosis of his front teeth looked extremely challenging.
He had already consulted several dentists.
The advice was almost the same everywhere:
“Daant nikal dijiye… replacement karwa lijiye.”
But the patient had just one wish:
“Mujhe daant nahi nikalwana.” ❤️
And sometimes, that one sentence is enough to make a dentist take the difficult road.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar Gupta decided to give those natural teeth a chance.
Instead of extraction, the teeth were managed with endodontic treatment followed by minor oral surgery — apicectomy and retrograde MTA filling.
But the real treatment didn’t end on the dental chair.
It needed TIME.
Healing did not happen overnight.
It needed years of follow-up, patience and, most importantly, the patient’s trust.
2019 → 2022 → 2026
Year after year, the lesion gradually resolved and the supporting bone healed.
Today, this case stands as a beautiful reminder:
Sometimes saving a natural tooth isn’t about choosing the easiest treatment.
It’s about asking:
“Can we still save it?”
And if the answer is yes —
sometimes, it’s worth fighting for. ❤️
