Today’s topic is management of oral cyst by Dr Barun Kant dentist in Ranchi at Dental Smile Clinic ( firayalal chowk) in Ranchi.
A patient reported to our dental clinic in Ranchi having chief complaint of swelling in palatal region of mouth for the past one year. Very mild pain was there on palpation. Upper anterior teeth are firm and no discoloration was noted. There is no sinus tract or fluid discharge was present. Patient has no history of trauma. So due to palatal involvement we asked for cbct investigation in order to know the extension of lesion. In the meanwhile we have done oral prophylaxis in order to improve oral hygiene.
Upon getting report we confirm and present provisional diagnosis of dentigerous cyst. Since mesiodens was present around the root of maxillary central incisor, we planned for surgical intervention by our maxillofacial surgeon. Cystic cover of the lesion was carefully removed along with supernumerary tooth. Lesion was sending for biopsy. It was dentigerous cyst.
