🌍🦷 Taking Sports Dentistry closer to athletes across India!

NSDC continues to expand its reach through strategic collaborations, MoUs, educational programs and sporting events.

🤝 NSDC recently signed an MoU with the Amateur Sports Development Federation (ASDF) to work towards taking Sports Dentistry to the grassroots level across the country.

💻 Dr. Sneha Divekar, Director, NSDC, was invited as faculty for ASDF’s International Faculty Development Program on AI & Emerging Technologies in Sports Sciences, Sports Medicine & Human Performance. She spoke on “AI & Digital Technology in Sports Dentistry,” highlighting how technology can support better athlete oral health.

🛼 NSDC also signed an MoU with Bharat Sports Management Group, with the NSDC Delhi team supporting the All India Open Roller Skating Championship 2026 as Oral Health Partners.

Dr. Sabina Aggarwal, Sports Dentist & NSDC member, served as the Oral Health Specialist, guiding athletes on oral care and creating awareness. She was also felicitated at the event. 👏

From the grassroots to national sporting events, NSDC is working to make oral health an integral part of athlete healthcare.

Kudos to all our NSDC members who are actively taking this mission forward across the country! 🇮🇳🦷

Sports Dentistry is reaching athletes across India! 🦷🏆

NSDC continues to expand its reach through meaningful collaborations and on-ground initiatives.

In July and August, Dr. Naveen Kumar, Subject Expert Committee Member – Orthodontics & Sports Dentistry, NSDC, conducted Dental Care Awareness and Screening Programs for FC Marina and Xtreme Fight Club in Chennai, in association with NSDC and Rana Dental – Centre for Sports Dentistry.

The sessions highlighted two important aspects of athlete oral health:

🦷 Mouthguards – their importance in injury protection and improved breathing during sports.

😁 Jaw & bite correction – understanding their role in maintaining long-term oral and facial health.

Adding another milestone, Dr. Naveen Kumar was featured in Happiest Health Magazine in an insightful article on “Swimmer’s Mouth”, exploring the often-overlooked world of Sports Dentistry.

In his article, Dr. Naveen advises sports persons to seek dental consultations from licensed experts under NSDC for appropriate, sport-specific dental care.

From awareness to screening and education, NSDC is taking Sports Dentistry closer to athletes across the country.

Because oral health is an important part of an athlete’s overall health and performance. 🏅
