Tongue cleaning!

Its an important aspect and often most neglected aspect of oral hygiene dor kids.
Since 2.5yrs of age you can start cleaning the tongue surface with a steel tongue cleaner or a wet gauze piece dipped in saltwater.
You can also encourage the habit of rinsing thoroughly after every snacking to reduce food debirs from the tongue surface.

This will help promote good oral hygiene and in turn prevent halitosis.

Today I am sharing some perspective over trauma to upper front permanent teeth.
Between ages of 6-10 years, you have to super careful with any and invasive treatment for permanent teeth. The roots are yet to be formed in this stage so roots canal treatment has other optional modalities which can be done during this age group.

Which toothpaste to use?
Fluoridated or non-fluoridated?
Yes a fluoridated one if the child has signs of dental decay and yes a fluoridated one if the child can spit out and rinse.
Fluoride forms fluorapatite crystals with the enamels from the outermost layer of the tooth which prevent dental decay and help to reverse early caries.
