Most dentists focus on rubber dam placement, clamps, and isolation techniques. Yet one small accessory often makes the difference between a good isolation and a great one—the Wedjet.

What is a Wedjet?
A Wedjet is an elastic, latex-free cord that acts like a gentle "clamp" for teeth, particularly in the anterior region. Instead of relying on a traditional metal clamp, the Wedjet is stretched and placed interproximally to hold the rubber dam securely around the tooth.
Think of it as a soft anchor for your rubber dam.
Why do I use it?

How is it used?

3️⃣ Pass it interproximally around the cervical area of the tooth.
4️⃣ Allow it to retract the dam gently into the sulcus and secure the isolation.
5️⃣ Confirm a proper seal before proceeding with treatment.
The result? A clean, dry, contamination-free field without the need for a visible metal clamp.
