Nothing but a band of tethered tissue that ties Tongue to the floor of the mouth and prevents its range of motion

In newborns 👶: may or may not affect breast feeding
In toddlers : may or may not affect speech development
In children : may or may not affect speech, breathing, tooth decay,ice cream licking, wind instrument playing
