As Chairman of the IOS Public Awareness Committee (2023-24), I conceptualized and led, in collaboration with the Head Office, the society’s first-ever influencer marketing campaign. For the first time in IOS history, this initiative leveraged 19 impactful videos featuring key influencers, enabling us to reach millions and successfully achieve our objectives.
Our mission was clear:
• To distinguish orthodontics from general dentistry
• To reinforce the importance of consulting orthodontic specialists for dental concerns
• To discourage unsafe practices such as DIY braces and aligners
This campaign set a precedent for future public outreach by the Indian Orthodontic Society and significantly heightened public awareness about orthodontic care and expertise.
