Oral lichen planus is a chronic autoimmune condition that causes inflammation in the mouth's mucous membranes. It appears as white, lacy patches, red swollen tissues, or painful open sores.

🔹 Symptoms
Lacy white threads, bright red, swollen tissues and painful open sores, severe burning sensation, especially when eating spicy, salty, or acidic foods.

🔹 Cause :
* Stress
* Dental trauma/irritations
* Allergy
* Nutritional Deficiencies: Low levels of iron, folate, or vitamin B12.

🔹Management & Treatment
While there is no cure, medication and withdrawal of habits can control the growth.
* Topical corticosteroids: Gels, ointments, or mouth rinses to reduce inflammation.
* Multivitamins & Antioxidants.
* Practicing excellent oral hygiene, avoiding to***co, limiting acidic foods.

The erosive forms of oral lichen planus can slightly increase the risk of oral cancer over time if untreated.

⚫️A 53 / Female patient walked in our clinic with pain in lower left teeth region with multiple missing teeth, tingling sensation in ear. She had already referred multiple ENT specialist so far. But as her pain wasn't subsiding she reached to us.
🔹Temporomandibular joint (TMJ disorder occurs due to conditions causing pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint and muscles controlling jaw movement.
🔹🔹Symptoms:pain, aching jaw, clicking, popping, or grating sounds in the jaw joint, locked or stiff jaw, headaches, ear pain, tingling sound in ear. tooth pain, and neck or shoulder tension.
🔹🔹Causes: Injury, trauma to the jaw or joint, damage to related muscle while extraction,stress,clenching or grinding teeth ,arthritis, misalignment.

🔹️A 71 years old patient walked in our clinic with complaint of difficulty in eating.He had multiple root stumps and supraerupted teeth. Keeping other health factors in consideration we decided to provide him a complete denture.🦷

🔹️A complete denture is a removable prosthesis designed for fully edentulous patients to replace all teeth and associated structures in the upper and lower arch.

Retention , stability ,occlusion are key concerns of a CD.
Patients psychological acceptance plays a key role. As denture is huge external body to fit in arches which takes certain months to adapt, many patients refuse to wear it.

Wohooo!

That was a fun filled dental check up camp for kids and parents. The session was very interactive as parents participated enthusiastically in activities and showed interest in learning the advantages of early dental check up. The kids had a fun time exploring our instruments , which was very helpful.👩🏻‍⚕️

None of them got scared of check up and that's a win win for every dentist.

We created awareness regarding the eruption pattern of deciduous and permanent teeth. Importance of teeth in feeding, speech and eruption of permanent teeth. The games and goodies were of utmost interest for these little wonders.🦷

Thank you Shrishti Pandey & Time Kids for inviting us. It was an amazing session.

That was a case worth documenting.
Today a 26 yrs old patient reported to me with excruciating pain in his lower jaw. On diagnosing, I observed 2 inappropriate restorations in 37,38.
The major catch was 36, failed RCT, file broken in MB canal, perforation leading to furcation involvement, ill fitting crown.
We surgically removed the teeth.The other 2 teeth were also re-restored.🦷

The patient has relief now.
