Being a dental practicioner owner isn’t “hard” because of the dentistry.
It’s hard because:
When you give direct feedback, you’re “a bad.”
When you hold boundaries, you’re “difficult.”
When you have high standards, you’re “too much.”
When you don’t laugh along, you’re “cold"
In healthcare, especially dentistry, we are responsible for safety, culture, ethics and patient care. That requires clarity. It requires standards. It requires saying things as they are.
Boundaries are not cruelty.
Standards are not ego.
Direct feedback is not hostility.
It’s true for healthcare in every sense.
