PREMOLAR DISTALIZATION

As 1 molar is already missing, I am using 2*10 mm implant to retract the premolars.

Piggyback technique(Double wire technique)
In this technique I have used 016 ss as the base wire to maintain the arch form along with 012 niti to move the lingually place lateral incisor bucally.
Coil spring was used to maintain the space between incisor and canine.

This is a case of high canine along with mid line diastema, lingually placed upper right lateral incisor and deep bite

I initiated this case with 014 niti followed by 016 niti and 016 ss for leveling and alignment(haven't placed the bracket on canine till now).

Once L/A was done, all the teeth are aligned, followed by mid line closure.so that I can get the exact space whether I need to extract the premolar or not for canine retraction.

After mid line closure the space left distal to lateral was 2 mm,which resulted in first upper right premolar extraction.

Once the space was gained which led to canine retraction and deep bite correction simultaneously.

One class I canine relationship was achieved the remaining space was closed by 2 premolar and molar mesialization.

After debonding fixed retainer was placed considering it was the mid line diastema case.

In this case I could use open coil spring to gain the space but which could led to upper anterior flaring.
