Honourable Member of Parliament from Nashik, Shri Rajabhau (Parag) Waje, raised important concerns in the Parliament of India regarding Dentistry, Dental Insurance, and Oral Healthcare. Union Health Minister Shri Prataprao Jadhav and the Government of India have officially responded to these issues in Parliament.
To better understand these matters, Shri Rajabhau Waje held a detailed discussion with Dr. Ankush Katkade (MDS,Advanced Clinical Training-USA) regarding dental treatment, dental insurance, and the challenges faced by economically weaker sections who are unable to afford dental care. The discussion also included understanding the significant importance given to dental healthcare in the United States and Western countries, and how dental insurance is structured and provided in those nations.
By raising these questions in Parliament, an important and positive step has been taken toward bringing oral health into the mainstream healthcare system of our country.
