Yep. It's true for tooth brushing too. Brushing too hard and/or too frequently can cause damage to the teeth 🦷and gums resulting in gum recession and tooth sensitivity.

Using an electric toothbrush can help protect against these issues if they have a pressure sensor that tells you when you are brushing too hard.

Stick to brushing twice a day for 2 minutes and if you feel you need another refresh during the day use a fluoride containing mouthwash or sugar free chewing gum.
