One of the main reasons you need to use a time tested reliable implant system is because when it fails after few years it can be easily retrieved and repaired.
This is a case of Straumann Tissue Level Implant which we had done 7 years ago and it had an issue due to patient accidentally biting into a hard thing and could be easily retrieved and replaced using digital dentistry in one day.
My suggestion to dear colleagues and patients after being in implant dentistry for 19 years, always opt for a system that can be easily managed when failure occurs. Implant is a very long lasting treatment and few technical issues do crop up in between. Stay with a system that is long term, available and predictable.

Call for my dentist friends:
Dilemma on Tooth Wear Management? Thinking of FMR? Please be careful. The consensus is out there and cutting teeth that are already worn out is not in favour. Try to build up, not remove more. As Tooth Wear is dynamic in nature, giving hard restorations may look nice but transfer pathology somewhere else.

Adhesion to Zirconia: A Systematic Review of Surface Pretreatments and Resin Cements

Good paper to understand the bonding of Zirconia to the tooth surface with following practical points:

1. The paper provides a systematic review of surface pretreatments and resin cements for adhesion to zirconia, aiming to establish a valid operative protocol for adhesive cementation .
2. The study found that mechanicochemical surface pretreatments offered the best adhesive results, with combinations of air-abrasion protocols and adhesive promoters being the most investigated methods .
3. Self-adhesive cement and those containing 10-MDP were found to have the best adhesion to zirconia .
