This was a particularly challenging case from last week, wherein we almost decided to go surgical (I&D) and Voila...the tooth surprised us pleasantly by healing by just root canal therapy and medications.
😊♥️

So,here's some dental gyan for you :

Abscess is nothing but collection of pus cells near the root tips (gums) of a decayed tooth (which usually is neglected for a very long time)

It can be treated by -

1)Getting a Root Canal treatment done.✅

2) Removing the tooth.❎

Things to consider if you ....

1) Have bleeding gums and loose teeth; get your sugar levels tested. Most diabetics have gum problems and need frequent maintenance ( professional cleaning) of teeth.

2) Any infection (pus) in the mouth or multiple cavities make you prone to heart diseases. Get it treated asap.

3) Have frequent ulcers in the mouth without any tooth problem, Get your B12 levels checked. Also reduce Stress.

4) Are not able to chew your food properly, it may lead to Stomach issues ( bloating and gases). Replace your missing teeth.

5) Have a boil / red or white patch on the cheek or the tongue or anywhere in the mouth, get yourself checked to rule out Cancer. Early detection will help in faster recover. Quit Tobacco!Ask us how.

All teeth follow a schedule for exfoliation and eruption. And to make it easier for you; here is a chart to follow as a ready reckoner.
