No. The notion that brushing harder leads to a cleaner or whiter smile is, in fact, a misconception. 🎤

There are a number of reasons why brushing more aggressively actually harms your mouth more than it does good. Applying too much pressure may slowly erode your enamel, which cannot repair itself once it suffers significant damage. You may experience increased dental sensitivity and a heightened risk of cavities.

"Wisdom Teeth” (also known as third molars) originally got their name because they typically erupt in adulthood, between age 17-25! Back in the old days, people this age were considered to be “wise”, so that’s why they named these teeth “wisdom teeth”!

In reality, these teeth have nothing to do with how smart or “wise” you are! Your dental provider may even recommend that you have them removed if they are erupting in a bad direction or will be at a high risk for developing cavities. But don’t worry! Even if you have them removed, you won’t lose any wisdom! 🤓📚
