4. Use a fluoride toothpaste:

When it comes to toothpaste, there are more important elements to look for than whitening power and flavors.
No matter which version you choose, make sure it contains fluoride.

When it comes to fighting cavities, fluoride plays a starring role.
The American Dental Association (ADA) Mouth Healthy site has stated that this common ingredient is "nature's cavity
fighter."
It's a mineral that helps strengthen the enamel on your teeth, making them less susceptible to cavities and
less likely to wear down from acidic foods and drinks.
Bacteria in your mouth feed on sugars and starches that remain on your teeth after eating.
Fluoride helps protect your teeth from the acid that is released when this happens.
It does this in two ways.

First, fluoride makes your tooth enamel stronger and less likely to suffer acid damage.

Second, it can reverse the early stages of acid damage by re-mineralizing areas that have started to decay.

Plaque can also build up on your tongue. Not only can this lead to bad mouth odor, but it can lead to other oral health problems.
Studies suggest that cleaning your tongue regularly can reduce unwanted mouth bacteria that can lead to bad breath, a coated tongue, plaque buildup, and other oral health conditions.
Gently brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth. Although cleaning your tongue with a toothbrush is better than not cleaning it at all, using a tongue scraper is more effective.
