Teething time was a period not only of great anxiety but also of intense fear because of the serious symptoms the children showed.

Unfortunately, some of the teething remedies used by anxious parents at that time, did more harm than good. ❌

For example - In the 6th century, treatments for teething included eating or placing hare brains on the gums & drinking dog’s milk 🤯❕

The more benign of these cures included giving the child a dry bread crust, and sticks of licorice dipped in honey or wax candles to chew on 🕯️

🔸 A Lip tie happens when the piece of tissue behind the upper lip is too short and tight, limiting the upper lip's movement.
A lip tie release is required as some babies with lip toes have difficulty with breastfeeding due to trouble in latching.

🔸A mucocele is a harmless mucous-filled oral cyst. They are painless and harmless but may interfere with your eating and if left untreated, they can organize and form a permanent bump on the inner surface of the lip.
