The patient presented with complaints of nasal regurgitation, difficulty in chewing, and impaired speech following a previous maxillectomy performed as part of the management of mucormycosis.

Clinical examination revealed an oroantral/oronasal defect resulting from the maxillectomy, leading to functional impairment during mastication, swallowing, and speech. To rehabilitate the defect and restore oral function, a zygomatic implant was placed. The defect was reconstructed using a buccal fat pad flap, and primary closure was achieved successfully.
