Your Teeth & Gums are, what you eat.
While at home, please don't allow kids to eat too much of food that is well known for tooth decay. When you drink or eat starchy or sugary foods, you're not only feeding yourself; you're also feeding the germs. Germs play an important role in causing tooth decay and gum diseases. Plaque is a thin, invisible, sticky film of bacteria and other materials. It covers all the surfaces of the teeth. When sugars or starches in the mouth come in contact with plaque, the acid starts to form. These acids attack the teeth after you finish eating. Repeated attacks break down the hard enamel that is present on the surface of teeth. This leads to tooth decay. This causes the breakdown of the gums, bone, and other supporting structures of the teeth.
Eating a variety of nutrient-rich foods promotes healthy teeth and gums. This means maintains a balanced diet of fruits & vegetables, diary products, nuts & have a plenty of water.
