A 47 year old female patient reported to clinic with cheif complaint of loosened and proclined front tooth, patient was under medication for diabetic. clinical examination revealed grade II mobility , bleeding on probing, proclination and avulsion of tooth in realation to 11. Radiographic examination of tooth showed poor prognosis, ie; widespread of bone resorbtion till the cervical portion of teeth.
The patient was aware of poor condition of teeth and willing for extraction followed by fixed replacement. Patient got explained about all the treatment options, available with possible drawbacks of each.
She was very concerned about the aesthetics and willing for earliest possible replacement of tooth. Hence she readily opted for immediate implant.
Treatment plan include oral prophylaxis, extraction of 11 and immediate placement of implant with temporary prosthetics.
Appropriate antibiotics and analgesics were prescribed and postoperative instructions given.
