AED comes to ADC
AED- Automated External Defibrillator - is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and pulseless ventricular tachycardia, and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electricity which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to re-establish an effective rhythm.
Ventricular fibrillation is a disturbance in the heart rhythm and is the most common cause of sudden cardiac arrest. Ventricular fibrillation is dangerous because it cuts off blood supply to the brain and other vital organs. The ventricles pump blood out of the heart and into the blood vessels. This blood supplies oxygen and other nutrients to cells, organs, and other structures. If these structures do not receive enough blood, they start to shut down, or fail.
The entire team of doctors and paramedical staff at Aesthetic Dental Clinic is trained and Certified to provide vital Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in case of an untoward cardiovascular failure of a patient. Additional to that, the next level of care, for an unresponsive patient despite repeated CPR is Defibrillation. An AED is that critical device which jumpstarts an unresponsive heart by supplying an electrical pulse to the heart.
Philips Heartstart is the world leader in manufacturing AED devices.
Aesthetic Dental Clinic has acquired this critical piece of device to ensure patient safety besides essential Equipments like patient monitor ( Pulse Oxymetry, NIBP, ECG) CPR ready team, emergency medications and intubation systems and Oxygen.
No medical procedures comes without risks and dental surgery is no exception- at Aesthetic Dental we are ready to face them with a straight bat.
