*ORAL MUCOCELE*

An also called is a common, benign (non-cancerous) lesion that occurs in the mouth. It's essentially a fluid-filled cyst or bump that develops due to:

CAUSES-
1. Trauma or injury to the mouth (e.g., biting the cheek or lips)
2. Blockage of salivary glands or ducts
3. Inflammation or infection

-Treatment of mucocele
1-Surgical removal: Excision or marsupialization (creating a pouch to drain the cyst)
2-Laser treatment: For smaller mucoceles

When to seek medical attention?
1. Persistent or growing mucocele
2. Pain or discomfort
3. Difficulty speaking or swallowing
4. Signs of infection (redness, swelling, pus)
