From Trauma to Triumph – A Birthday Gift of a Smile
This young patient met with severe facial trauma resulting in a fractured mandible and complete avulsion of multiple upper teeth.
At Dr. Karthik’s Dental Clinics, we:
1. Stabilized the fracture – Performed open reduction and internal fixation (plating) for the mandible, followed by intermaxillary fixation (IMF).
2. Replaced missing teeth provisionally – Placed dental implants and gave a PMMA tooth set on a transparent retainer so his smile looked natural during healing.
3. Final rehabilitation – After 3 months of healing, we restored his upper arch with high-strength zirconia crowns for long-lasting aesthetics and function.
Yesterday was his birthday, and we were proud to deliver the best gift possible – his confident smile back.
From injury to full recovery, this journey was a reminder that dentistry is not just about teeth, but about restoring lives.
