"CERVICAL ABRASION"
Cervical abrasion is mechanical wear off of hard tissue of tooth most frequently seen at junction where teeth meet the gums (gum line) and root surfaces of teeth.
What causes cervical abrasion?
It is caused by traumatic tooth brushing in a horizontal scrubbing motion.
Hard bristles, pressure applied during brushing, improper brushing technique and abrasiveness of dentifrices used can all influence the degree of cervical abrasion.
To minimize cervical abrasion we recommend that you use a soft bristle toothbrush, less abrasive toothpaste and learning proper toothbrushing technique .
Visit dentist if you are having cervical abrasion and monitor the condition of your teeth.

✨TONGUE CLEANING✨

Did you know tongue has the highest number of bacteria in our mouth. This bacteria breaks down the food and produce waste products, which in turns causes Bad Breath!🤢
So the best way to get rid of the bacteria is by scrapping/ cleaning the tongue.
Tongue cleaning eliminates the harmful toxins, and also activates our digestive system. By cleaning our tongue daily we are not only removing harmful toxins from its surface but also improves our digestive health and results in NO BAD BREATH.

So along with brushing our teeth daily tongue cleaning should be a part of our daily routine.😃

ARE YOU BRUSHING CORRECTLY?
Aside from the fact that we should be toothbrushing twice a day, its very important that we are actually brushing the right way✅
Wrong way of brushing can be very traumatizing to your gums. Poor toothbrushing can be done either thriugh brushing too hard or angling your toothbrush incorrectly❌
Gum(gingival) recession is a result of brushing trauma, leading to the exposure of tooth roots, impacting sensitivity and aesthetics.
In order to prevent this posting a video that can guide you to the effective way of brushing.
Brush twice daily and floss every night before bed.

BRUXISM
Bruxism is the grinding and clenching of teeth, and usually occurs subconsciously while you are sleeping at night!
Causes of bruxism includes mainly anxiety and stress.
Bruxism wears away the outer surface of teeth (enamel) creating the appearance of shortened teeth and over time can lead to exposure of dentin causing tooth sensitivity.

Signs and Symptoms include :
•tightness, pain or soreness of jaw muscles after waking up
•headaches after waking up
•wearing of tooth surfaces
•teeth flattening out
•chipped or cracked teeth
•teeth sensitivity
First line treatment for bruxism is an occlusal splint also known as night guard that covers all teeth.
If you think you might be grinding your teeth at night you must definitely visit a dentist.
Prevention is better than cure.
