*Whenever two palatal roots exist, one of them is the normal palatal root, the other is a supernumerary structure which can be located either mesiolingually (radix mesiolingualis) or distolingually (radix distolingualis). Or mesio palatal and distopalatal.
*Traditionally, the maxillary first molar has been described to have three roots, namely, the mesiobuccal, distobuccal, and palatal which form the 'tripod' or 'molar triangle', with three or four root canals, while the fourth canal commonly being found in the mesiobuccal root.
*Another landmark suggestive of the presence of an extra palatal root is the presence of an additional cusp or cusps on the buccal or lingual surface of the molar crown, making the crown appear relatively larger than the normal
*A more definite means of determining the presence two palatal roots is by visualizing the pattern of the pulp chamber floor. When two palatal roots are present and are widely divergent (Type I), the pulp chamber floor takes quadrangular-shape with one canal or***ce located in each corner. The mesial and distal or***ces of the palatal roots will be present more peripherally than to those of the buccal roots

*Irrigation used:5%hypo (cerkamed) and saline,17%EDTA

-Activation of irrigation by manual dynamic agitation

-Obturation by wvc

Patient was in v much distress.😓

*Twice 15days interim calcium hydroxide dressing given
*Co-pilot files #15, #20 k files used till apex
*Neo endo flex files used for shaping canals.
