Parents, don't wait for severe pain!
A cavity can progress without obvious symptoms in the beginning.

1️⃣ WHITE, BROWN OR BLACK SPOTS
Notice a new white spot, brown patch or black area on your child's tooth?
⚠️ It may indicate enamel changes or tooth decay and should be checked.

2️⃣ A VISIBLE HOLE OR CAVITY
If you can actually see a hole, chipped area or food getting stuck in the tooth, don't ignore it.
Cavities generally become larger if they aren't stopped.

3️⃣ YOUR CHILD COMPLAINS OF TOOTH PAIN
Pain while eating, drinking something cold/hot, or spontaneous toothache can indicate that decay has progressed deeper.

4️⃣ SWELLING OR A “PUS BUMP” ON THE GUM
A small pimple-like bump, swelling around the tooth or facial swelling can indicate infection.
🚨 This needs prompt dental evaluation.

5️⃣ YOUR CHILD AVOIDS CHEWING ON ONE SIDE
Sometimes children don't say, “My tooth hurts.”
Instead, they may chew only on one side, avoid certain foods or become uncomfortable while eating.
