दांतों की खूबसूरती और सही बनावट के लिए Braces (ब्रेसेस) एक वरदान की तरह काम करते हैं। यहाँ एक संक्षिप्त नोट है कि कैसे ये आपकी मुस्कान को संवारते हैं:
ब्रेसेस मुस्कान को कैसे सुधारते हैं?
दांतों का सही संरेखण (Alignment): ब्रेसेस टेढ़े-मेढ़े, आगे-पीछे या भीड़भाड़ वाले (Crowded) दांतों को धीरे-धीरे उनके सही स्थान पर लाते हैं।
गैप को भरना: अगर दांतों के बीच बहुत ज्यादा खाली जगह है, तो ब्रेसेस उन्हें करीब लाकर एक समान और सुंदर मुस्कान देते हैं।
बाइट (Bite) में सुधार: कई बार ऊपर और नीचे के दांत आपस में सही से नहीं मिलते (Overbite/Underbite)। ब्रेसेस इस समस्या को ठीक कर चेहरे की बनावट (Jawline) को बेहतर बनाते हैं।
आत्मविश्वास में वृद्धि: जब दांत सीधे और साफ दिखने लगते हैं, तो व्यक्ति खुलकर मुस्कुरा पाता है, जिससे उसका आत्मविश्वास बढ़ता है।

दांतों की बनावट या विकास में होने वाली गड़बड़ियों को Developmental Anomalies of Teeth कहा जाता है। आसान भाषा में कहें तो, जब बच्चा छोटा होता है और उसके दांत मसूड़ों के अंदर बन रहे होते हैं, उस समय अगर किसी कारण से उनका आकार, संख्या या रंग बदल जाए, तो उसे ही 'अनोमली' कहते हैं।

इसे हम चार मुख्य हिस्सों में बांट सकते हैं:

1. संख्या में गड़बड़ी (Number)
कभी-कभी मुंह में दांतों की गिनती सामान्य से कम या ज्यादा हो सकती है:

Anodontia: जब जन्म से ही दांत बिल्कुल न हों।

Supernumerary Teeth: जब सामान्य से ज्यादा दांत निकल आएं (जैसे सामने के दो दांतों के बीच एक एक्स्ट्रा छोटा दांत)।

Hypodontia: जब एक या दो दांत कम हों (अक्सर अक्ल दाढ़ या सामने के दांत गायब होते हैं)।

2. आकार में गड़बड़ी (Size)
दांत अपनी सामान्य लंबाई या चौड़ाई से अलग दिख सकते हैं:

Microdontia: दांतों का आकार बहुत छोटा होना।

Macrodontia: दांतों का सामान्य से बहुत बड़ा होना।

3. रूप-रंग और बनावट (Shape & Structure)
यह सबसे आम समस्या है, जिसमें दांत अजीब दिख सकते हैं:

Gemination: जब एक ही जड़ से दो दांत निकलने की कोशिश करते हैं (जुड़वां दांत)।

Fusion: जब दो अलग-अलग दांत आपस में जुड़ जाते हैं।

Dilaceration: दांत की जड़ में बहुत गहरा मोड़ या टेढ़ापन होना।

Enamel Hypoplasia: दांत की सबसे ऊपरी सफेद परत (Enamel) का कमजोर होना, जिससे दांत पर पीले या भूरे धब्बे दिखते हैं और वे जल्दी सड़ने लगते हैं।

4. निकलने की जगह (Eruption)
Impacted Teeth: दांत मसूड़े के अंदर ही फंस जाना और बाहर न निकल पाना (जैसे अक्ल दाढ़)।

Ectopic Eruption: दांत अपनी सही जगह के बजाय कहीं और से निकल आना।

ये क्यों होता है?
इसके पीछे मुख्य रूप से दो कारण होते हैं:

अनुवांशिक (Genetics): अगर परिवार में माता-पिता को ऐसी समस्या रही हो।

पर्यावरण (Environmental): बचपन में तेज बुखार, पोषण (Vitamin D/Calcium) की कमी, या जबड़े में कोई चोट लगना।

जरूरी बात: इनमें से ज्यादातर समस्याओं का समाधान आज के समय में Braces (तार), Veneers या Dental Implants के जरिए आसानी से किया जा सकता है।

Having healthy teeth and gums is essential for oral and overall health. Therefore, everyone should understand our four different types of teeth, their functionality, and how to take proper care of them.

So, let's look at four different types of teeth and how important they are for us. But before that, it's important to know a little bit about the development of the tooth.

Humans possess two different sets of teeth that is primary or milk teeth and permanent teeth, which usually develop in various stages of our life. Even if the timing varies, the development of each set of those teeth is the same. Here are a few facts on how teeth develop:

Your tooth develops long before it is visible. For instance, a baby's first tooth starts appearing at six months, but its development starts during the second trimester of pregnancy.
The tooth crown is formed first, and the root continues developing even after the tooth eruption.
Primary teeth appear between ages 6-7 months and remain in place until age 6. Between 6 years and 14 years, primary teeth start falling, making way for permanent teeth.

Most adults possess 32 permanent teeth, divided into four different types.
Incisors
Canines
Premolars
Molars
