Tiny Teeth at Birth? Let’s Talk!
👶 Natal vs Neonatal Teeth
✨ Natal teeth = Present at birth
✨ Neonatal teeth = Erupt within first 30 days
😮 Sounds rare? It is!
Occurs in about 1 in 2,000–3,000 babies
📍 Most commonly seen in the lower front teeth
⚠️ Why it matters:
• May cause pain while feeding 🤱
• Can irritate baby’s tongue (risk of ulcers) known as Riga Fede Disease
• Sometimes loose → risk of swallowing
🩺 What should parents do?
✔️ Don’t panic!
✔️ Visit a pediatric dentist
✔️ Teeth may be monitored or removed if needed
💡 Fun fact:
These are usually part of the baby’s normal teeth—not extra ones!
❤️ Early care = happy smiles!
