Never too late to the party 😉

After quite a bit of research, comparisons and plenty of thought, I’ve finally taken the plunge into digital impressions at Tru Dental Care with the Shining 3D Aoralscan Elf.

What really stood out to me was the ergonomics. It’s one of the lightest intraoral scanners around and when you’re scanning throughout the day, every gram matters. As we know, ergonomics is everything.

I also wanted the setup to fit naturally into the way we work at Tru Dental Care, so I put together a custom mobile scanning workstation with the scanner, 4K monitor, workstation and essentials all integrated into one compact setup.

Excited to bring this into our everyday restorative and cosmetic workflow and explore what we can achieve with digital dentistry. 🚀

Some books are more than just textbooks they become a part of your journey.

I got "Best Practices in Endodontics – A Desk Reference" back in 2018, and it has been one of my favourite quick-reference books ever since.

Even today, it's one of the first books I reach for whenever I want to revisit a concept or look up a clinical detail.

I've always admired Dr. Venkat Canakapalli's chapters in this book and the immense contribution he has made to the field of Endodontics.

Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Venkat Canakapalli to Tru Dental Care.

It was wonderful spending time with him, discussing clinical dentistry, and getting to know him personally.

What impressed me the most was how humble, approachable, and down-to-earth he is despite all that he has achieved.

He was incredibly generous in sharing his thoughts and experiences.

Having him sign my copy of this book with his warm wishes made it even more special.

It's one of those moments I'll always cherish.Thank you, Dr. Venkat Canakapalli, for visiting my clinic, for your kindness, and for being such an inspiration.

E-max Onlay

Sometimes, a standard filling isn't enough to restore a tooth's strength, especially when a cavity is extensive. This is where an E-max onlay comes in.

Unlike a crown that covers the entire tooth, an onlay is a conservative restoration that preserves more of your natural tooth structure while providing superior durability. In this case, we used E-max a high-strength ceramic known for its incredible aesthetics and longevity to restore a vital tooth that had significant damage.

Large distal decay, but the tooth still deserved to be conserved.
Instead of cutting more, the focus was on preserving healthy structure and restoring only what was lost.
