India's shift from cost arbitrage to deep-tech leadership.
There are weeks that quietly remind us how far India has come.
This week gave us three such moments.
🚀 **Skyroot Aerospace** successfully launched *Vikram-1*—India's first privately developed orbital rocket. A generation that once celebrated ISRO's milestones is now witnessing Indian startups reaching orbit.
🚆 **India's first hydrogen-powered passenger train** entered service, producing electricity onboard from hydrogen and emitting only water vapour. From steam engines to electric railways, and now hydrogen-powered mobility—another chapter in India's engineering journey.
⚙️ **Vimag Labs**, a Bengaluru deep-tech startup, showcased its "Virtual Magnet" technology—software-defined motors that eliminate the need for rare-earth magnets, potentially reducing India's dependence on global supply chains for EVs.
As children, many of us proudly recited:
*"India is a developing country."*
Today, that phrase deserves an update.
We are witnessing an India that is not just catching up—it is beginning to create, innovate, and lead.
The real nostalgia isn't about looking back.
It's about realizing that many of the dreams we grew up reading about in science textbooks are now becoming reality—built by Indian scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and startups.
Here's to celebrating innovation, and to believing that the best chapters of India's science and technology story are still ahead. 🇮🇳
