In the 90s, season had its own unique buzz.

If you were a sister,
living in another city, sending a Rakhi by post was an event.

You’d pick the prettiest one from the market,
wrap it with love,
maybe slip in a tiny note or a bar of chocolate…
Then pray the postman did his job in time.

For brothers,
the days before Raksha Bandhan were a mix of excitement and suspense.

Every evening, they’d ask at home
"Post aa gayi kya?"
Sometimes the Rakhi would arrive a day early, filling the house with joy.
Sometimes… it would come two days late,
tied only after the festival, but with the same love.

Those delays often led to playful sibling banter:
"Next year, send it earlier!"
"Next year, you come and tie it yourself!"

The tradition, of course, is far older than the 90s.
once tore a piece of her saree to bandage ’s bleeding finger.
In return, Krishna vowed to protect her forever.
That promise of protection,
that sacred thread of care, is the essence of Raksha Bandhan...
One that’s been celebrated for centuries.

Fast forward to today.

No more postal uncertainty.

Sisters can track their parcels in real-time. Brothers don’t need to wait by the door for the postman.

Tradition still thrives,
but now it rides on technology.

From Draupadi and Krishna’s timeless promise, to 90s postal battles, to today’s one-click deliveries...
"The thread remains unbroken."
Only the journey has changed. ❤️
