Before and after orthodontic treatment.

Pt complained of forwardly placed upper teeth.
Diagnosis- Class I malocclusion with lower ant. crowding and increased overjet. Class I skeletal malocclusion with vertical growth pattern.
Treatment- extraction of 14,24,34 and 44 followed by 022 x 028 MBT mechanotherapy.

At TrueAlign Dental & Implant Clinic, we do much more.....
Patient complained of swelling on the inner aspect of lower lip from last 5 months. Initially it was small but gradually progressed to present size.
History of trauma due to habitual lip biting.

On intraoral examination, a round, solitary, fluctuant swelling ( approx 1 cm x 1.8 cm ) was seen on the inner aspect of the lower lip.
The lesion was diagnosed as a mucocele based on the clinical features and history of lip biting habit.

A mucocele is a benign, mucus-containing cystic lesion of the minor salivary gland also called a sialocele and ptyalocele.

Cause- crowded incisors with Anterior crossbite.( Orthodontics šŸ«”)
Treatment- Surgical excision with removal of the involved accessory salivary gland.
