A challenging case, a determined patient, and a rewarding transformation ✨
A patient reported to our clinic with a history of a severe road traffic accident, which had led to multiple facial injuries. The patient had previously undergone bone plating for mandibular fracture stabilization. Due to the trauma and compromised oral condition, several teeth had to be extracted, leaving the patient with significant functional and aesthetic concerns.
Given the reduced bone volume and altered anatomy post-surgery, conventional implant options were limited. After thorough evaluation and planning, we rehabilitated the patient using corticobasal implants in the right mandible—an advanced solution ideal for cases with compromised bone conditions.
The implants were strategically placed to utilize the available cortical bone, allowing for immediate stability. A fixed prosthesis was then delivered, restoring not only the patient’s ability to chew and speak effectively but also bringing back confidence and a natural smile.
