Rajan came to us in April. His daughter had been complaining about tooth pain for six weeks.
Senior manager at a logistics firm. Two kids, elderly parents at home, back-to-back meetings. He told me, honestly, that he'd Googled her symptoms three times and convinced himself it would settle on its own.
It hadn't.
By the time they sat in our chair, what started as a small cavity had progressed to the point where she needed a root canal — something that could have been a simple filling two months earlier.
He wasn't a negligent father. He was a busy one. And he felt terrible.
We sorted it out. She was fine within a week. But when he left that day, he said something that stayed with me: "I kept thinking I'd find the time. I just didn't realise the tooth wouldn't wait."
If there's a child or parent in your home who's mentioned any tooth pain — even once — don't let the week run away from you.
The pain they mention quietly today can become a bigger problem by next month.
