A mucocele of the lower lip is a soft, fluid-filled lump that occurs due to a buildup of mucus in the salivary glands. It's also known as a mucous cyst.

Symptoms :
A soft, round, bluish, or translucent swelling
Painless, but can be uncomfortable
Swelling and tenderness
Feeling of fullness or loose tooth
Difficulty opening the mouth
Blistering on the surface

Causes trauma or irritation to the minor salivary glands and biting your lip.

Treatment Most mucoceles go away on their own, Surgical excision to remove the cyst, Cryotherapy to freeze the cyst, and Laser treatment.

This was the case of Mucocele of a 10 year old child last week in our chamber , before and after comparison 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

A gingivectomy is a surgical procedure that removes excess gum tissue. It can be performed to treat gum disease or improve the appearance of teeth.
It is performed by giving a local anesthetic which is used to numb the gums and after that a surgical tool is used to remove excess gum tissue,A suction tool is used to remove excess saliva and blood. The remaining gums are reattached by stitching and the gum line is reshaped. The affected area is cleaned with saline and special rinses.
Risks and recovery :
Minor pain and discomfort after the procedure,
You can usually drive yourself home after the procedure, usually after 2 to 3 weeks it heals completely, this case was done by me before and after comparison after 2 weeks 👇🏻👇🏻
