A patient presents with severe facial swelling on the left side following root canal treatment, along with pain and limited jaw movement. The RVG examination reveals steel cones used for root canal filling extending past the root apex. Extraction was advised after the swelling subsided and was performed 3 days later, followed by strong antibiotic coverage.

Shouldn't we be honest with the patient from the start about the tooth's chances of survival?

A patient presents with severe facial swelling on the left side following root canal treatment, along with pain and limited jaw movement. Leukoplakia management using laser therapy
Time duration - 15 days post surgery

Patient reported on day 1 with complain of itching & burning sensation and white layer on the surface of Tongue.
*Was on Anti oxidants and Steroidal medications since 1 year and more.
Still experienced no improvement with the same.
After needful investigations
We proceeded with laser surgery

01 - Day 1 (Non scrapable patch on dorsum of Tongue)

02 - Day 1 (Post surgery)

03- Day 15 (Adequate healing of the surgical site)

Day 15- Patient is healthy and does not give any complains of further burning or itching sensation as previously experienced by him.
