Patient reported with a painless lump on the undersurface of the tongue..
Examination revealed a round solitary pale swelling approx 0.5x0.5 in size.
Mobile, depressible,compressible and barely tender on palpation
Used ILASE at excision program and achieved excision in BLOODLESS manner..
Uneventful surgery and a happy patient..

P.S - turned out to be an abscess most likely in response to a foreign body or truma..

Impacted mandibular third molars teeth(3M) often present with challenging relations with the inferior alveolar nerve(IAN). Frequent use of CBCT has helped deciphering the relation between 3M and the IAN. A detailed study of OPG can also help plan for the procedure better..
