Parenting is hard. Being a pediatric dentist is a close second. 🦷🫣

​To the amazing parents out there: we know getting a toddler out the door requires UN-level negotiation. But a few well-meaning habits are making us cry in the breakroom:

1. ​The Waiting Room Bribe: Giving them sticky candy right before an exam is like muddying a car right before a car wash. Stick to stickers! 🍭

2. ​Phantom Brushing: We love your 6-year-old’s confidence, but their gums don't lie. Kids need adult help brushing until they can tie their own shoes! 👻

3. ​The Bogeyman: "Be good or the dentist will give you a shot!" Ouch. Please don't weaponize us—we want to be the heroes, not the villains. 👹

4. ​The home-made laddoo Myth: Bacteria don't care if the sugar is coming from homemade or store bought source. Sticky homemade sweets clings to teeth just like a regular store bought ones . Rinse with water after! 🍓

5. ​The Annual Surprise: Skipping the 6-month checkup turns a tiny, 5-minute fix into a dramatic midnight toothache saga. 🗓️
