π¨ A cigarette doesnβt just harm your lungsβ¦ it can damage your mouth too.
Smoking exposes the lips, tongue, gums and throat to harmful chemicals that can damage cells and increase the risk of oral cancer.
β οΈ Never ignore these warning signs:
β’ Mouth ulcer that doesnβt heal
β’ Red or white patch
β’ Unexplained bleeding
β’ Lump or thickening in the mouth
β’ Difficulty opening the mouth
β’ Difficulty chewing or swallowing
π If any mouth lesion persists for more than 2 weeks, get it examined by a dentist/oral health professional.
π The best time to quit smoking is today.
Your mouth can give you an early warning β listen to it.
