This patient underwent Posterior Total Hip Replacement on one hip previously and recently underwent Direct Anterior Hip Replacement (DAA) on the other side.

Having experienced recovery after both approaches, the patient can personally compare the rehabilitation journey from each surgery.

The Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) is a muscle-sparing technique that may be suitable for selected patients undergoing hip replacement. The choice of surgical approach depends on several factors, including the patient’s diagnosis, anatomy, bone quality, medical condition, and surgeon assessment.
