Ever looked at your smile and thought, “I wish I could fix just this one thing”?
Sometimes, that’s all it takes.

For this patient, composite veneers were used to close the centre gap and improve the shape of the front teeth, completed in ONE sitting.

A better version of the smile they already had.

You’ve heard of fillings. You’ve heard of caps.
But have you heard of a VONLAY? 🦷✨

A VONLAY is a carefully designed ceramic restoration that combines the benefits of an onlay and a veneer, restoring both the chewing surface and the visible outer surface of a damaged tooth.

In this case, the tooth needed more than a conventional filling, but a full-coverage cap was not the only option.

The VONLAY allowed us to:

▪️ Restore the damaged and weakened areas
▪️ Rebuild the tooth’s natural shape and bite
▪️ Improve the appearance of the visible surface
▪️ Preserve more healthy tooth structure than a traditional full-coverage crown

The result? A restoration designed to look natural, function comfortably and protect the remaining tooth structure. 💪🏽

Modern dentistry is no longer simply about choosing between a “filling” and a “cap.”
With indirect partial restorations such as inlays, onlays and VONLAYs, treatment can be customised according to exactly how much of the tooth needs restoration.

Are our little patient’s eyes glued to the overhead TV, or is she just admiring her gentle dentist while her tooth is patiently fixed?

Fun fact: it’s both 🤭

✨ Complete Smile Makeover in Just One Sitting ✨

This transformation was done using *Composite bonding* to visibly close the gaps between the teeth and create a more confident, balanced smile — all without waiting weeks for results.

Composite bonding is a minimally invasive cosmetic dental treatment that can help improve:
✅ Gaps between teeth
✅ Uneven tooth shape
✅ Small chips or wear
✅ Smile symmetry
✅ Overall smile confidence

The best part? In many cases, it can be completed in a single appointment.

Your smile can change the way you look, feel, and show up every day. If you’ve been hiding your teeth because of gaps or uneven edges, this treatment could be the confidence boost you’ve been waiting for.

Visit our clinic to see how modern dentistry can help you! Book an appointment today.

The best review isn’t always a comment.
Sometimes, it’s someone returning after years… and bringing a friend along.

A veneer smile makeover by Dr. Stephen Dsouza and a reminder that quality work, done ethically, lasts beyond the appointment.

Thank you for the trust, then and now. ✨

Bleeding gums and tooth sensitivity months after a “filling”? 👀
We see this more often than you’d think.

Zoom into the “before”: one filling awkwardly wedged between two teeth.
To confirm the real cause, we took an X-ray — and found the culprit: poorly contoured, overhanging fillings.

✅ One appointment later:
• Chewing felt comfortable again
• Cleaning became easier
• Natural tooth anatomy was finally respected

🚨 Overhanging fillings aren’t “minor.” They can trap food, irritate gums, increase decay risk, and contribute to gum disease.

That’s why we say: It’s not “just a filling” — it’s a restoration of your tooth.

Takeaway: Don’t wait for pain to show up. An annual dental check-up with your trusted dentist can save you a lot later. Book your visit today! 🦷✨
