For early detection of dental cavities, saving from pain and loss of tooth.
Early stages of dental decay can be detected only if you visit the dentist for routine screening and consultation. But mostly, "pain" or "sensitivity" or "food lodgement" happen when decay is progressed in deeper layers of teeth, that is when you realise there is a problem even. So, earlier you visit a dentist, less tedious is the treatment. So to say, dental treatments are not costly, your negligence is.
