Something important about running a small business:
1️⃣ Don't build a business that depends on one person.
People may join. People may leave. Life happens. Your business should still move.
2️⃣ Build PROCESSES, not dependency.
Every important task should have a system, checklist and backup.
3️⃣ Learn every role in your own business.
As an owner, you don't have to do everything every day — but you should know how everything works.
4️⃣ Problems reveal the strength of your system.
When everything is smooth, anyone can run a business.
The real test is what happens when people don't show up.
5️⃣ Don't run away when the business gets difficult.
The people who stand during the difficult days are the ones who build something sustainable.
People are important. ❤️
But your business should not become helpless without them.
This Independence Day, my definition of independence is:
“I can appreciate my team without becoming dependent on them.”
Build a business that is process-dependent, not person-dependent.
