🌟 A Dream Realised. A Journey Continues. 🌟
On 19th July 2025, a long-held dream of mine became reality — the first Graduation ceremony almost 18 months after the inception of the one of a kind "Occlusion Driven Dentistry" course, to make Occlusion-Based Dentistry accessible, teachable, and transformational for clinicians.
Through the course, we set out to simplify a challenging subject occlusion, TMD and FMR and create confident, protocol-driven dentists.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the rock-solid support of Dr. Ramesh Selvam and Dr. Malarvizhi Ramesh — once students of my earlier FMR course, now proud co-mentors in this evolved format. Heartfelt thanks to Vijaya Vasanth, the quiet powerhouse behind the scenes, who keeps the academy running seamlessly.
🎓 From the first 3 batches, 29 dedicated doctors have graduated — completing a full year of theory, two offline workshops, Submitting 150 exercises, participating in monthly webinars and presenting two clinical cases following our protocols with full documentation.

Mandible is the only bone that with teeth and condyles has to rest on another bone and even move on it. So stability of the mandible is an important factor . In this short video Dr Vasanth has tried to explain how the mandible is stable during static contacts and excursions. Hope you enjoy it.

Hello friends, Dr Vasanth Dental Academy is announcing the launch of yet another batch of its "Occlusion Driven Dentistry" course. This is a unique hybrid course, teaching Occlusion, TMD and Full Mouth Rehabilitation to a master level. Teaching occlusion for over 16 years, trying various formats to reach this challenging subject effectively to the participating doctors, this format is my dream come true. With dedicated support of my old students Dr.Ramesh Selvam and Dr.Malarvizhi Ramesh, who have now become my partners in the academy, we are able to accomplish this. Unlike other courses, this format involves a lot of personal time involvement of the mentors, forcing us to do only limited batches per year.
Response and feedback from the participants of first 5 batches are heartening and encouraging.

Please Note: From this batch onwards Live workshop days are increased from 5 days to 6 days ( 4 days + 2 days) .

This is a one-year hybrid course, with education imparted through multiple modes, planned to provide a complete, holistic, in-depth learning experience. Modes include in person hands on ( 4 days + 2 days ) access to dedicated online course platform, and online webinars of 1½ hour duration. Webinars include 7 core webinars and monthly one webinar exclusive to the batch. In addition, access will be given to the academy’s monthly 1 hour alumni webinar. 150 exercises will have to be completed and submitted. Presenting 2 cases with full documentation, reasonable attendance record for webinars and at least 80% completion of website course content is needed for certification.
This is a limited attendance course. Registration will be on first come basis. So enroll early to avoid disappointment.

Deep from the heart message from Dr Vasanth Dental Academy. Registration for the batch announced recently, is fully booked thanks to the confidence you have placed in us and the encouragement and feedbacks from existing students. A pat in the back is encouraging and most welcome especially when we are conducting a first of its kind course, with no precedent to look up to. We had to put in enormous effort and plan to convert my original course on vasanth dental learn to this flagship ODD course under Dr vasanth dental Academy. Without the tremendous support and effort by Dr.Ramesh Selvam and Dr.Malar, my co-mentors and my wife Vijaya vasanth the coordinator, this could not have been achieved.
There is nothing called perfection, and so based on first year's experience, student interactions and feedbacks, new contents/methods/ideas will be incorporated from the next batch onwards. There is going to be one extra day of workshop, needing more preparations towards extra procedures added. Next batch will be announced soon with all the new changes. Dear Friends,
Teaching occlusion for over 16 years, trying various formats to reach this challenging subject effectively to the participating doctors, I am presenting this new version of the course titled “Occlusion Driven Dentistry”. This will be the first of its kind course, teaching Occlusion, TMD and Full Mouth Rehabilitation to a master level. I could achieve this, thanks to the dedicated support of my old students Dr.Ramesh Selvam and Dr.Malarvizhi Ramesh. They have become my partners in my academy as I found their passion towards Dentistry and teaching match mine.
I am very thrilled and happy because my dream to design a course that makes this really tough topic reach every participant and change the way they do dentistry, will be realized by this course.
